Grilled Cheese and Ice Cream Please at World Dairy Expo
World Dairy Expo isn’t just a time to see some of the finest dairy genetics on display or learn about new technology, it’s also a time to enjoy dairy foods. Grilled cheese sandwiches, milk shakes and ice cream are a common site to see on the Expo grounds each year.
For the fourth year in a row, the Badger Dairy Club Cheese Stand will continue the “Featured Cheese of the Day” thanks to sponsorships from the Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin, Associated Milk Producers Inc. and Grassland Dairy Products Inc. The cheese stand sells approximately 40,000 sandwiches per year.
Each cheese came from a local dairy processor who donated cheese and added a third option to the menu along with the traditional American and Swiss grilled cheese sandwiches.
Here is a list of the flavors being served, where it came from and what day to expect them:
Tuesday

The GEA Ice Cream Booth offers plenty of flavors for people to enjoy in the Expo Hall area. Approximately 17,000 – 19,000 cups of ice cream are sold each year by local FFA members. Two years ago local FFA chapters were donated $13,500 through the program where members work the stand each day. GEA has been sponsoring the booth since 2005.
